Psoriasis

What is Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a skin disease that develops due to the condition of your immune system. This condition typically affects areas including the scalp, knees, and elbows. However, it can appear on any location of your body. Psoriasis has a trigger, which causes the skin cells to grow, forming raised, scaly, red patches on the skin. This disease typically develops between the ages of 15 and 35, with some rare cases occurring before the age of 10. LindaSusan Marcus, MD performs skin examinations to determine whether a patient has psoriasis.
